According to TICA Show Rule 203.19, all Preliminary New Breeds (PNB) and Advanced New Breeds (ANB) must have a TICA registration number prior to any TICA show. No Preliminary New Breed or Advanced New Breed may enter a show with a "registration pending"

Show Hotel: 

              La Quinta Inn, 2725 North Black Canyon Highway Phoenix, AZ 82009 602-258-6271 - $90/night including taxes - No Airport Shuttle Service. There is Super Shuttle curbside service at the airport . One way is about $30 and if you book early and with a return to the airport you can get a discount.



PARKING: Parking is $7 per day - Passes may be purchases for half price on the Summary sheet.

RV PARKING: There is RV parking at the show hall with hookups for $30 a day.

I-10 Westbound, exit 19th Avenue turn right and travel north on 19th to McDowell road and the show hall

I-10 Eastbound, exit 27th Ave left, turn right on Thomas Rd, turn right onto 19th Avenue and travel south to McDowell Rd and the show hall.

I-17 Northbound, exit Thomas Rd right, right turn onto 19th Avenue and travel south to Mc Dowell Rd and the show hall

I-17 Southbound, exit Thomas Rd left, turn right onto 19th Avenue and travel south to McDowell Rd and the show hall

SHOW RULES/AWARDS: All exhibitors agree by entry to abide by and uphold the show rules of TICA. Show rules and registration information may be obtained from TICA Executive Office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551. Cost is $7.

REGISTRATION RULES: To register your cat with TICA, send a copy of registration certificate showing you as owner of cat with a 5 generation certified pedigree with a check for $20 to TICA, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, Texas 78551. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. Per TICA rules, you may show your cat one time without a registration number; however, the cat must be registered before any wins will be scored by TICA. This show will be scored for TICA International and Regional wins.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Entries are payable even if cat is not benched and benching will be refused unless all fees are paid. Cats co-owned by members of different households are eligible for the "second and additional" discounts ony if a copy of the TICA registration showing the names of both co-owners is sent. Please make checks payable to Desperado Cat Fanciers in US funds. There will be a $25 charge for returned checks, plus the original check amount. There will be an additional $10 charge if fees are paid at the door. Household Pets over 8 months of age must be neutered or spayed.

JUNIOR EXHIBITOR PROGRAM: We are offering the Junior Exhibitor ring to our junior exihibitors. The entry fee is $50.00 for one cat. The cat must be registered in the Junior's name and they must prepare the cat and show the cat in the show.

BENCHING: Every effort will be made to accomodate benching requests, but the club cannot make any guarantees.

CAGES: This is a "Bring Your Own Cage" show...each entry receives a 36" space. Make sure you have enough space for the size of cage your bring. (If your cage is larger then 36" you will need to purchase a groom space in order for your cage to fit.) If you have any questions about spacing, please contact the entry clerk.

CAT SUPPLIES: Cat litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans and cat food.

EXHIBITION/FOR SALE CATS: "Exhibition/For Sale" Cages will be available to exhibitors only unless special arrangements are made with the show manager. You must submit an entry form for each "Exhibition/For Sale" entry...mark the entry Exhibition/For Sale across the top of the form. All cats must have catalog numbers to be in the show hall (whether named or not). Kittens MUST be 3 months old to enter the show hall. Kittens for sale MUST be litter registered and proof of age MUST be available to the club. NO KITTENS or CATS may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under bench, during show hours.

HEALTH RULES: This is a non-vetted show. All cats must be fully immunized and tested negative for FeLV. All entries must be free of fungus, fleas, and ear mites. It is advised that all cats be bathed and groomed prior to benching. ALL CLAWS MUST BE CLIPPED PRIOR TO BENCHING.
